“Always stay within the gate, but never choose a gate that’s too small.”

Nikolas Kreuz from INVIOS discusses the seven sins of investing in an interview with BörsenRadio.

“A lack of diversification is one of the main mistakes. Many investors are all too keen to take the mental shortcut. Which areas of the brain start to light up?” Diversification also means not relying solely on home bias. “If you ride the waves of the respective stock market cycles and also benefit from diversification, you’re better positioned. Get out of your comfort zone!”

However, Nikolas Kreuz warns against herd mentality and excessive impulsiveness, which rarely pay off on the stock market. “Losses are like bad dates.”

Nikolas Kreuz advises adopting a long-term strategy and describes the difficult balancing act between “carefree delegation” and hyperactivity. “Always stay within the gate, but never choose a gate that’s too small.”
