26 financial mistakes you should stop making in 2026
The best financial mistakes are those you don’t make yourself, but from which you can still learn. Fittingly, on 1 January 2026, *DIE ZEIT* published 26 such mistakes – and the lessons to be learnt from them. Among others, the tips come from Nikolas Kreuz of INVIOS.
For example, when investing, you shouldn’t be led by the crowd. “Investing in shares that everyone else is currently buying may help you ride the wave in the short term. In the long term, however, you should tend to buy shares whose business model you find convincing. And choose funds and ETFs that provide the right level of risk diversification. Then it can even make sense to invest counter-cyclically,” as Nikolas Kreuz explains.
“Price slumps should be used as an opportunity to invest at favourable prices and in several instalments.”
